The theory of the Growing Block Universe (GBU) or "Thick Time" maintains that everything that ever occurred in the history of the universe is still all there, frozen just as it occurred in higher dimensions of time and space. Moment by moment, the present continually adds to the total volume of the GBU like a multidimensional video camera that records and stores everything that occurs in a never-ending reel. In other words, the past is all there in the great blocks of time, but we just can’t physically reach back into it.
